Hi. My name is Nate Goldman and I’m a 7th grade student at Florence M. Gaudineer Middle School. For my Bar Mitzvah Project, I’m collecting sports equipment and raising money to benefit Game Changers New York, and any donations will help make an impact.
Game Changers New York is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower disadvantage youth around the world by providing them the opportunity to become athletes. To help them achieve this goal, I’m collecting used sports equipment that Game Changers New York will then donate to children in need locally and globally.
If you have sports equipment to donate, you can either drop it off at Temple Sha’arey Shalom on November 3rd, 2019 between 11 am and 1 pm, or contact my mom Michelle at 908-447-0265.
If you live far from Springfield and/or you’re unable to donate any used sports equipment, could you please send a donation instead through my GoFundMe page – https://gofundme.com/f/a68yhz-sports-for-all.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. And special thanks to Areyvut (www.areyvut.org) for introducing me to Sarah at Game Changers New York (www.gamechangersny.org)!
On Yom Kippur we read from the Book of Isaiah: "Is not this the fast I look for: to unlock the shackles of injustice...to share your bread with the hungry?"
Join our congregation along with hundreds of other Reform congregations as we provide food for those whose fast is neither voluntary or symbolic.
Please bring bags of non-perished food to the Temple between Rosh Ha'shanah and Yom Kippur.
